My name is John Pensocas, and I am happily married to Khat, whom I married in 2022. Our relationship is a testament to God’s goodness and His authorship of our salvation and love story. Soon, we will be parents to our first child, Sovereign Elle. We have named her to remind ourselves and others that the LORD our God is The Sovereign One, deserving of all praise and glory.

I am grateful and humbled to work as a Music Teacher. Teaching students to sing, play musical instruments, and appreciate the beauty of music is a fulfilling endeavor. Every moment with my students is an opportunity to express love and extend grace, mirroring how God has shown it to me.

Serving the Lord and His people is my passion, evident to my wife and fellow believers. Helping others has always been my love language and one of my spiritual gifts. In my local church, I have served as a youth leader, worship leader, and assistant to the Pastor. After thoughtful consideration by my Pastor and the board, I was ordained as an associate pastor, acknowledging God’s loving grace in my life.

I have felt a calling to ministry in my heart for a long time. This led me to immerse myself in reading the Bible and seek further education. In 2018, I joined Christian Leaders Institute and pursued courses related to marriage ministry. Through completing studies on Pre-Marriage Counseling Skills, Officiant Ministry Skills, Licensed Christian Wedding Officiant Recognition Class, and Wedding Officiant Skills, I acquired the necessary qualifications to apply for the Certificate for Registration of the Authority to Solemnize Marriage (CRASM) in the Philippines. As a result, I obtained my wedding officiant license in 2022 by God’s grace and started a marriage ministry in my local church. I have since officiated several wedding ceremonies and helped couples glorify the Lord in their relationships.

Each wedding ceremony and marriage counseling session allows me to share the Gospel and guide couples in understanding God’s will for their relationship and spiritual lives. I also established a Couples Fellowship in my church, where teams gather to explore their relationships in light of Scripture and discover God’s design for Christian marriages.

Leading a marriage ministry is a privilege that allows me to introduce people to Christ. I am forever grateful to Christian Leaders Institute for providing free courses that have guided me on this journey. The additional classes have deepened my understanding of the Bible and strengthened my relationship with the Lord. I pray that Christian Leaders Institute continues to bless Christians from different countries who desire to serve the Lord and His Kingdom. May God bless all the professors and staff at CLI!

All glory be to God!
