Journey to Become a Chaplain

My name is Ana Paula Fabiano. I’m from Brazil and now I live in the state of Delaware. I’m happily married with 3 daughters. I have a bachelor’s degree in theology. My reasoning for continuing education and obtaining the Wedding Officiant certification with the Christian Leaders Institute and Alliance is that it will assist me in furthering the call of God in my life. I am also pursuing a chaplaincy license and certification on my journey to become a chaplain.

I have a shepherd’s calling in the ministry. The Lord has revealed this amazing and honorable call to me these last few years. I served in different ways at different seasons of my walk, such as co-teaching Sunday School, helping in Youth Ministry, and serving at the food bank.

The Licensed Christian Wedding Officiant and Chaplaincy training promotes me to continue my journey in serving God.

My Salvation Story

I grew up in a Catholic family. My mother was a single mother with five children to raise alone, and with God’s help, she managed. I came to the United States when I was 18 years old. I didn’t go to church for many years because I didn’t like the Catholic church.

One day, my friend Sonia Ambrosio from a Methodist church invited me to a women’s Bible study at her house. I accepted the invitation without knowing it would change my life. In this Bible study, I met Jesus! Further, I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior.

On the same day, I pardoned my father because he abandoned me and our family when I was four years old and my little brother was only two. I hated my father a lot for 15 years. I stayed in this Bible study for seven years. During those years, my daughters and I attended the Black Rock Church, where we were baptized in water and began to serve the Lord as volunteers in various areas.

Growing in Faith

On Christmas in 2017, my leader in the Bible study gave us a piece of paper and an envelope. She said to write down our wishes for the new year. We were to close the envelope and open it only in December of 2018 to see if, with God, we would be able to achieve all the objectives on the list.

So I wrote down: Find a better place to live, find a better school for my kids, make enough money to help buy a house for our family, and get a Christian degree to serve the Lord. I was in shock with the last thing I wrote. I didn’t know where it came from. However, I felt God’s calling in my spirit at that moment. With the Lord’s help, I got my bachelor’s degree in theology. God made everything come true on my list! Since that date, I have made my list every year, but now I only ask for things to glorify the Lord’s name.

My Spiritual Dream

I dream of helping abused women, children, older people, and USA Army soldiers. I also dream of bringing God’s message of peace to families, churches, communities, countries, and continents. Being a good steward of the earth is another goal of mine that God has given me. I hope to use my Christian Leaders Institute training in my ministry dream and journey to become a chaplain. It will help me be an equipped Christian Leader to bring God’s gospel of peace to all nations. My calling is to be a chaplain in the U.S. Army.

CLI and CLA: My Journey to Become a Chaplain

I enrolled in free training at CLI because I could not afford to pay for a college education. One day, I searched the internet and found the Christian Leaders Institute, and here I am. I am thankful for the opportunity to study at CLI and become an equipped Christian leader. It is a lifelong dream come true on my journey to become a chaplain.

I am a vision partner, so when more financial blessings come, I can give back to the organization God has blessed me through. Most of all, I want to thank God Almighty for giving me the chance of a lifetime fulfilling the dream He gave me. We do not take it lightly and thank the Lord for the incredible ministry of CLI and all its staff.

God bless the CLI staff members for obeying the call of God to start and maintain the Christian Leaders Institute. CLI assists people like me in fulfilling the call of God for our lives through the ordination process and the anointed education. Due to it being free, I receive high-quality training, for which I am incredibly grateful.

Furthermore, I have given a significant one-time gift and will continue to do so as the funds allow. We always thank the Lord for CLI, remember it in our prayers, and tell others about it. This education will enable us to effectively reach out to the harvest – rightly dividing the word of truth – for His kingdom gospel. Each one of us has an anointed and powerful sphere of influence around us. Pray for our family as we step out in faith into the next phase of ministry.
