Children Minister Ordination

Children Minister Ordination

My name is Lara Riddle and I am called to a children minister ordination. I am from Snohomish, WA. I work full time in a call center for customer care with online shopping for a Lowe’s company. Every Sunday, I volunteer at my church in the children’s ministry department. I am the service coordinator for the four and five-year-olds at one service. I get to welcome each precious child to class and love them and teach them about Jesus. I organize my fellow colleagues who volunteer to ensure that the service runs smoothly and that the kids are safe and have fun. Then I preach a little message and have worship with the kids. I have a burning desire to be in children’s ministries and missions.

I have a vision on my life to one day be a children’s pastor in Costa Rica and can not wait for the day God says to GO. I am here at Christian Leaders Institute to receive my children minister ordination and to prepare myself for all that God wants me to do! I love to travel and help people worldwide. I am working on improving myself every day to be more like Jesus. I am always learning and try to read often. Right now, I am reading “You are Free” by Rebekah Lyons. Before that, I read my pastor’s new book “How is Your Soul” (by Judah Smith). I choose to think the positive in every situation.

I love to paint and draw as art is a big passion of mine. I go to the gym 3-5 times a week and meet with my personal trainer once a week. I am working on getting fit and living a healthy lifestyle. I went from eating fast food almost every day and now hardly ever if at all. I feel so much better and have more energy once I started eating better. Within the last year, I have lost 60 pounds. I went from living in a tent for a year and now have a beautiful room that I am renting from an amazing lady. I have had a challenging journey so far, but know that God always provides and I am being prepared God’s work.

This Decon Minister ordination class has impacted me in a positive way and I have gained much knowledge to prepare me for my ministry training. I am now confident that I can go out and share the good news of the Gospel in my community and the nations. I have the confidence to pray for people in public and the confidence that God will use me to impact his kingdom. I feel that this class has helped me with my leadership skills. I am able to motivate, encourage and show appreciation to my fellow volunteers at church. Not only will the children feel loved, but the leaders will as well. If a leader feels loved, valued, and appreciated, a ministry will succeed. I now pray with and for my leaders weekly/daily as well as praying for the children. I want the children to know that they are special through the love of Jesus. I want each child to leave with a burning fire to know Jesus more, a fire that is contagious and spreads to their friends and family. Starting a chain reaction where not only are they sharing this good news, but their friends and family’s are sharing this good news. I am confident and believing for a revival to start with the children and through the children to the parents.

I am going to go on a mission trip to Uganda this Spring with my church. I hope I will be able to continue practicing what I have learned in this course, to share the good news of the Gospel to the beautiful people of Uganda. Reaching one village, one orphanage, and one children’s prison at a time. While I am in Uganda my goal is to make these precious beautiful orphans feel loved, important and show them that people do care. And most importantly, show them who Jesus is and let them know that Jesus loves them so much and that they are never alone. It is a big passion of mine to travel from nation to nation sharing the good news of the Gospel. My children minister ordination dream is to be a traveling children’s pastor sharing the love of Jesus with the children of the world, and training them to be apostles of Christ.

I ask that you pray that I focus on what God is calling me to do. That I will be able to impact my community and the nations through the children. Pray that my leadership skills would continue to improve as I build, develop and encourage my fellow leaders. Please pray that I will have the boldness to preach the gospel at all presented opportunities.
