Ministry Journey

Hello! My name is Kaylene Orr and I am on a ministry journey. I live in Waterloo, Iowa. I was born and raised here, and now I am also raising my family here. I believe that this Deacon Minister Ordination with Christian Leaders Alliance will assist me in my ministry by giving me the tools and resources I can use to better connect with and serve my church and congregation. I also feel it has helped me have a better understanding of the Word and our history as Christians.

By taking these courses at Christian Leaders Institute, I have noticed that I feel more confident in my abilities to help in my congregation. I also feel more confident to lead in my church’s youth group and with the Sunday School program as well. It has also helped the Church Board to see my commitment to my new calling. So far my work in ministry has consisted of leading some confirmation classes, organizing a weekend retreat, organizing a few service projects, and organizing for a group from our church’s youth ministry to attend the ELCA Youth Gathering this summer in Houston, Texas. I feel that this free ministry training at Christian Leaders Institute and deacon minister ordination with Christian Leaders Alliance have been formative in my ministry now and in the future. I am thankful to be getting the training and education I needed for my ministry dream but could not afford to pay for. Please pray for me as I am on my continued ministry journey. Please pray for me also as I continue learning throughout my ministry service and follow where God is leading me with my calling. Thank you for this opportunity for continued growth and education as I seek to serve in God’s Kingdom work!
