Ordained Pastor

Good day! My name is Pastor Steve Banda and I am training at Christian Leaders Institute to become an ordained pastor. I am from the Warm Heart Of Africa, Malawi, I was born in Nkhata Bay district in the northern part of the country. I am married and have two boys ages 8 and 13. After finishing my High School. I went to South Africa to study further in 2001. I enrolled in the ITC course (Information Technology) up until I graduated with a national diploma in 2003. In 2006, I worked for a financial company up until 2008 when God called me to serve Him. I went back to school to study theology with Team Impact University in South Africa. I graduated with an Advanced Certificate in Ministry Studies and a Diploma with Team Work College.

At the moment, I am running a fellowship ministry called the Divine Power Of God Ministries. I am glad to study at Christian Leaders Institute so I can increase my knowledge in order for me to be successful in God’s work here. As the Bible says, “My people perish for lack of knowledge.” This Deacon Minister Ordination with Christian Leaders Alliance will help me in being recognized as a genuine man of God, because here in South Africa, people are very skeptical about who is a real pastor. So having this qualification will relieve me from that.

There are a lot of opportunities in my path, but I need to stand firm in my faith so that I pursue what Almighty God is putting in front of me to be an ordained pastor. God has been very faithful in this journey of study, though it has been very difficult due to other challenges. I would just like to share with you about God’s mercy. During the duration of my course of study, I fell sick twice so that I ended up in the hospital. But I have experienced the healing God. I came out healed and while I was in the hospital I prayed for the people there. On one occasion, 7 guys from the United States of American came down to South Africa. They were praying for the sick, and it happened that I was in the ward they visited. A young man came to me and asked me, “Can I pray for you?” I said, “Yes, brother.” As I was being prayed for, the Spirit of the Lord spoke to me. He said, “Pray for the young man because he’s not ready yet.” When I told him what God was instructing me, he said he was ready to be prayed for. Then I prayed for him. I asked him how did he felt. He stated that he felt that he was ordained for the service of the Lord God. Later on, he called his brethren and I prayed for them all. Thank God for his love and opportunities.

This course has helped me to understand the myths which were in different unbiblical teaching and gave me profound knowledge, which without this free course I couldn’t get anywhere else without paying a lot of money. My ordination was great. It took place at Rivers Of Life Pentecostal Church on May 27, 2018, and was officiated by Senior Pastor Bonaventure. He called me and his elders to the podium, I kneeled down and they lay hands on me while praying. I felt heaviness befalling me and I knew that it was nothing else but the presence of Lord at that place. And I realized that God is with me. I could not stand up and I was shaking like a reed in the middle of the river. After the service, I was given the opportunity to close the service with prayer. I thanked God for His love and mercy.

Please pray for me that God fulfills His plans for my life as per Jeremiah 29:11. My heart is longing for Him. I desire to serve God on a full-time basis as an ordained pastor.
