Ordination Calling Path

My name is Mark W. Mathis, and I am on an ordination calling path from God. My wife, Debra, and I live in Lindale, Texas, in the United States of America. I am the middle child of three, raised in a Christian family of leaders, teachers, and preachers back as far as the civil war. I came to believe in Jesus as my Savior at nine years old and have ridden the stormy seas ever since.

It was several years back that I received God’s calling on my life. It wasn’t until recently I began talking with a pastor I hold in high regard about this calling. He was the one that started talking about a meeting schedule and some others to meet with at the same time as possible mentors for me. To my shock and amazement, he told me it was time to step into my position, and that it was long overdue. Thanks to Christian Leaders Institute for this ministry education opportunity. Without it, I would not be able to afford the training. Thank you so much, CLI.

Ordination Calling Path to Ministry Training at CLI

I started taking classes here to learn more about how to do what I have been called to do. Before taking this deacon ordination class, I was set apart to teach for months now and led communion on several occasions. While I have been able to carry out these duties, I now have a better understanding and more confidence in what I’m doing. I thank you for the opportunity to learn at CLI and receive ordination with Christian Leaders Alliance. It was not my intention to become ordained when I started. However, I now feel better equipped to carry out God’s calling on my life for Him. Now, I understand how God is leading me to minister through counseling as well as pastoring. I pray for continued guidance and the wisdom to follow His leading.
