Calling and Ordination

Calling and Ordination Journey to CLI and CLA

Good day! My name is Wally Rheeder, and here is my calling and ordination journey. I am 52 years of age. Born in Pinetown, South Africa, I currently live in a small town named Brits in North West South Africa. After I finished school, I was a policeman for four years. Since then, I owned three businesses in the hydraulic truck crane industry.

In 1992, I married my wife, Sannemie. We have been married for 27 years and have four daughters, of which one died at the age of 12 years old. It caused great sorrow to our family.

My Calling and Ordination Journey

Since my youth days, people came to me, asking if I knew that God called me to the ministry. My answer to them would always be God will call me when the time is right. About 14 years back in 2006, the Lord appeared one night in a dream calling me into the ministry. Several of God’s prophetic people also confirmed the calling within 24 hours of the dream. My pastor confirmed the calling as well, so I left my business and entered into the work of God.

In 2008, the Lord called me to plant a church for Him and also gave me a dream to build a church in His name. Nine years later, with God’s help, we built the church and are currently in the building. However, the building work is not finished, yet we have services in the building, trusting God for the completion of our church building. These are exciting times doing God’s work! The church name is “Huis van Gebedsbediening” (House of Prayer Ministry), and we are a Pentecostal church.

Ministry Courses at CLI and Ordination with CLA

For my deacon ministry ordination and the courses at CLI, I am so thankful for all the things I learned. It has also opened my eyes to the many things to look out for in ministry.
In our ministry, God has opened outreach doors for us, and I need a strong team behind me. The deacon ministry course has helped a lot with these things. It has also reminded me of specific standards in the Bible that are crucial.

We have an evangelistic heart in our church and would appreciate it a lot to receive prayer in that area of our ministry. May God bless you for this training and ordaining opportunity!
