Ordained Deacon

Ordained Deacon

I am Jesse Graham of Jacksonville, NC. Obtaining this Deacon Minister Ordination has assisted me in my ministry in so many ways. First, being an ordained deacon has impacted me in my personal relationship to, growth in, and knowledge of God. It has forced me into terms of identifying and confronting the fears and internal struggles within me, like not being good enough, not knowing how to lead, being afraid of messing up or sounding stupid. Before I can truly follow Jesus, I must first be able to trust Him. We all have to come to a point in our lives and just trust Him, step out of the boat and into the unknown like Peter, and surrender. Secondly, it has given me positive feedback from the community and my local church leaders. Jesus says that by their fruits you will know them and that a good tree bears good fruit. We are also to be the light and salt of the world. It was very rewarding to gain insight from others that I would have not otherwise been given the privilege of receiving, if not, for being a student here at Christian Leaders Institute! Thirdly, it has informed me of what I need to grow in and mature in in my faith. That is to be bold, confident, and assertive in my faith, relationship, and calling by God for ministry.

There are open doors and ministry opportunities that are being put in my path right now as an ordained deacon. The Holy Spirit has moved me to become more sensitive to the spiritual needs of others and the impact the Gospel has on the transformation of people’s lives. Starting September 20, 2017, at 7 pm, Ignite Ministries International is hosting an event here in Jacksonville, NC, which is going to be 96 hours of continuous worship, baptisms, and feeding the community. This event is in response to the drug epidemic that is plaguing our nation and the faith community coming together to love others. I look forward to attending this event and pray that the Holy Spirit will move upon the hearts of others.

This free ministry training and ordination have been formative in my ministry future. It has given me confidence and reassurance that God is working in my life and molding me into the man He wants me to be. Pray for spiritual wisdom, strength, and patience as I continue on in my ministry training.
