Ministry Training Ordination

My name is Toran Davis and I am working toward ministry training ordination. I live in the United States of America. To be more specific I live in Cordova, Tennessee. You could say I was a preacher’s kid because my grandfather was a pastor. As a child, the church was my life. I attended and served in the church until I graduated from high school. Being in church all of those years sort of made me question my beliefs. Do I believe in God because this is what I’ve been taught or because I really believe? After graduation, I thought about that I never knew what life was like not going to church. Therefore when I got to college, I started to hang around corrupt people. Eventually, I quit going to church. Before I knew it, I was living a lifestyle of sin. This went on for about 3 years. Then I began to question my existence and purpose. Life seemed so routine and didn’t have any meaning. The only thing I knew to do was pray.

On that day, I said a prayer that forever changed my life. I got married and started a family of my own. My wife and I began to serve in ministry together. God began to speak to me. I felt obligated to help all of God’s people to know him better and avoid falling into that state of emptiness I once felt. Since I grew up in church it was natural for me to teach and serve in various positions in the church. I wrote four different books, and although I had been in church all those years, I never had any formal training. I decided to do something about that by enrolling at Victory University. I attended Victory University for about a year and then they closed. I transferred to Tennessee Temple University. I was enrolled at Tennessee Temple for almost the same length of time and it closed. Two different schools in two different cities and they both closed. I lost time and money. From that point on I served in the church and used what little I learned while I was enrolled in school.

My ministry dream of pastoring a church is real. My church and family have supported me for as long as I can remember. This scholarship is the missing puzzle piece to my ministry dream. The scholarship from CLI has allowed me the opportunity to get formal education to go with my actual experience. CLI provides the education along with the documentation. The training from CLI has opened doors that I didn’t expect to be opened. I have been invited to teach and lead services because people are aware of the training I have received. I understand the value of this type of training and thank everyone that has supported Christian Leaders Institute. I look forward to supporting CLI so that someone else can be blessed. I want to thank all the CLI staff for their time and endless effort to build up the kingdom of God. I am excited about ministry training ordination with Christian Leaders Alliance. I simply ask everyone to pray that my family and I continue to allow God to have his way in our life and ministry.
