Ordination Ministry

Ordination Ministry Story

Ordination Ministry Story

My name is Loren James and this is my ordination ministry story. I live in the United States in Hesston, KS. In 1964, I was born at the Navy Hospital in Bremerton, WA. I have taken classes with Calvary Chapel Bible College but do not yet have a degree. Over the years, I taught children’s and adult Sunday school classes and also filled in for the Pastor at different churches.

I worked in Heating and Cooling for approximately 18 years.  I injured my back, knee, and shoulder. So, I am in the process of getting vocational re-training through WA state work comp in the area of social work as they will not allow ministry training.

I married Ruth James. We have six children: Adam, Uriah, Rebekah, Stephen, Zechariah, and Elizabeth. Most of my life was spent in North West Washington state near the Canadian border. I was in the Bellingham, Lynden, Ferndale area, which is beautiful country. Kansas is quite different than the North West.

In 1988, I became a born again Christian at the age of 23 after a friend’s mother died. I began to have faith that there is a God and there is a heaven. Supernatural things happened. The phone would ding every night, and then my sister from California called me. She told me about Jesus and sent me a Bible called “The Book”. I read Romans 10:9 and prayed and received Christ and felt like a light came on inside of me.

Ministry Calling

Since then, I have felt a ministry calling after trials and difficulties in life. My desire is to learn to be a better minister through Christian Leaders Institute. The Deacon Minister Ordination will help my work for the Lord by strengthening my spiritual life, my knowledge of ordination ministry, and my credibility. A full-time minister is where I hope to serve.

Opportunities to serve are available to me. I am teaching the Bible at Edinburgh Manor in McPherson and also to my children. My ministry involves teaching the Bible and also being a student of the Bible as long as I live.

Christian Leaders Institute has helped me by providing free ministry training that I otherwise would have been unable to take it. CLI also has great possibilities for a future degree and training in many areas of ministry and business.

Please pray for me. That I will accomplish the work that God wants me to do, and that He will bless and protect my family. Thank you. The Lord bless you all.
