Ordained Salvation Army Officer

My name is Sylvie D’Aoust, and I am called to be an ordained Salvation Army Officer. I grew up in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. I moved to Alberta, Canada in 2009. My mother died when I was five years old. I grew up with six brothers and three sisters. I raised two beautiful boys and am a grandmother of three beautiful grandchildren. My father told me as a child there was no God. I grew up believing there is no God or devil. My household as a child was abusive in alcohol, physically abusive, in adultery, and there was no love. My adult life followed the lifestyle of my childhood until I was 32 years old.

Death of my Brother

In 1996, at the age of 32 and after the death of my beloved brother, a spiritual medium, an experience occurred to me. It changed my life to a different world. I became a psychic, tarot and angel card reader, clairvoyant, and medium. I practiced this until 2011.

Calling from God

In 2012, I gave my heart to God and received my calling. Something happened to me after giving my life to God. All my psychic abilities vanished. Jesus appeared to me in my dreams and other signs from God. Since I couldn’t understand the meaning of the dreams, I kept a journal for future understanding.

Found CLI

After praying to God, I found CLI while browsing the internet. There were many online ministry education sites. God led me to the Christian Leaders Institute. By reading about CLI, I knew it was the right place for me from God. After almost five years with my education with CLI, I’m so grateful and thankful for their free online training. Thank you, CLI.

Deacon Ministry Ordination

My education with CLI led me to be an ordained Deacon Minister. My ministry goal is to fulfill God’s will as an ordained Salvation Army Officer. It is the beginning of my ministry with the Salvation Army. I desire to serve God and to be a shepherd of His flock. To honor God following His scripture is my goal. It is a dream come true after these many years. I ask the Christian Leaders Institute to pray for me in the new beginning of my ministry. I’m grateful for this opportunity of my ministry training and ordination with the Christian Leaders Alliance.
