License in Chaplain Ministry

License in Chaplain Ministry

My name is Greg Beamer, and I am thankful to receive a license in Chaplain ministry with the Christian Leaders Alliance. I live outside of Cincinnati, Ohio, with my wife Terri. We will be celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary this year. Our two beautiful and amazing grown daughters now have children of their own. Three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren make life interesting and fun.

I retired from the corporate world and thought we would just relax and muddle through the pandemic of 2020. However, we did not realize God has other plans for me. God is true to His Word in Jeremiah 29:11 NIV, “For I know the plans I have for you” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.”

My Journey

I accepted the Lord at twelve years of age and had a desire to go to Bible School in Philadelphia. However, life got in the way and other plans transpired. Fast forward to my adult years, I knew I had a calling to serve the Lord, but I did not know the direction. In the Navy, I worked as a Hospital Corpsman, ran an ambulance service after my military service, and served in the church. Yet something was missing.

As I approached retirement, I felt a strong calling to follow my dreams as a young boy to go into the ministry. Talking with my friend who is a Pastor, we prayed for God’s will to be done. Yes! God listens and answers prayers. My granddaughter last year asked me to officiate her wedding. What an honor and push from God to get going!

Looking for training, I found the Christian Leaders Institute (CLI) (Learn more about online Bible classes, Click Here). So, I obtained a License to Officiate Weddings. However, my training did not stop there, and I have continued with several courses. What excellent Christian-based training I have received at CLI!

Getting a License in Chaplain Ministry

My most recent goal and accomplishment were to receive a License in Chaplain Ministry. One of many volunteer opportunities in life was working as a Volunteer Fire Fighter. In the Navy, I enjoyed talking and working with Chaplains. So, I knew when I found CLI and the training to become a Chaplain, I found where God was leading me. I hope to use this introductory course and other Chaplain/Christian-based training from CLI and Christian Leaders Alliance to further my education and to open opportunities to serve our Lord.
