Christian Wedding Officiant Credential
My name is Lou Caro, a loving husband to Lorrain for 25+ years, a proud father of three, and a retired U.S. Marine. After being asked to officiate a wedding, I found the Christian Leaders Institute and Alliance. The Christian wedding officiant licensed credential equips me to serve as a wedding officiant.
Called to be a Christian Male Role Model
Over the years, I’ve thought it necessary for young men to have positive male role models to emulate. Accepting Christ as a young man, I realized I was NOT being that role model. However, I did not attempt to become that positive male role model until my son was born.
I took a sincere and earnest life change toward a stronger walk with the Lord. I also wanted to show my son a better lifestyle different than what society said is acceptable. Therefore, I became an elementary school volunteer, Bible study attendee, Cub Scout Den Leader, High School Lacrosse official, Middle school Lacrosse coach, Youth Leader at our local church, and did more coaching.
Pool Church
As life would have it, I became very involved with many young men as high schoolers. These young men dropped out of church youth groups for many reasons. However, I thought it was too critical a time in their lives to neglect their spiritual pursuits. So, I started a Bible study at my home poolside each Sunday morning. It was commonly referred to as “Pool Church.” It went on year-round, and our weekly attendance was 6-12 young men each Sunday. Furthermore, it continued through their high school years and attracted many friends of friends.
The Bible says that the Lord uses the least of us. Therefore, I feel blessed to have been a conduit for the Lord. I attracted them to read, try to understand, pray, and build a personal foundation on the Lord Jesus. The Holy Spirit continued the work outside of our Pool Church. Many of these same young men are a wonderful part of my life. It is a marvel for me to see them advance. All the while, I sense the Spirit is moving within them.
Christian Wedding Officiant Credential
One of these young men recently asked me to officiate at his wedding. He said that I’ve been a catalyst in his Christian walk. “I am not licensed to do such a thing,” I told him. He then mentioned a free online ordination site for me to pursue. However, being “ordained” through an “ordination mill” site did not sit well with me. So, I searched and found the Christian Leaders Institute and Christian Leaders Alliance. Receiving the Wedding Officiant Skills Certificate has me wanting to become recognized as a Licensed Wedding Officiant with the Christian Leaders Institute. And, then, pursuing all supporting courses of this new licensing I hold. All this, I pray, will, with God’s direction, guide me along the life course our God presently has me on.
