At Christian Leaders Institute (CLI), you can receive free ministry training and pursue your calling in a flexible, biblically grounded program. The Licensed Ministry Officiant credential, offered through the Christian Leaders Alliance (CLA), equips everyday Christian leaders for impactful ministry—without requiring a seminary degree or years of full-time schooling.

The Licensed Ministry Officiant Training includes 9 credits of practical ministry courses:
Most students complete the training in 2–5 months, depending on their schedule.

Upon approval, you’ll be officially recognized as a Licensed Ministry Officiant.
Kim Powell, a wife and mother of three from Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, is currently pursuing her credential through Christian Leaders Institute. Raised in a Southern Pentecostal family in Birmingham, Alabama, Kim was surrounded by Scripture and prayer from a young age.
Yet, like many, she experienced a prodigal season. “I started to feel the draw of the world in my mid-teens,” Kim recalls. “I began questioning who I was, who I was in Christ, and the call to godly service that had been spoken over my life since before I was born.”
Her path led through rebellion, spiritual struggle, and eventually, profound redemption. One pivotal moment came on Easter Sunday 1995 when Kim found herself back in church. “When the congregation began singing, ‘At the cross, at the cross, where I first saw the light…’ something broke in me. I repented, and the Holy Spirit washed over me.”
After 26 years of walking in that redemption, Kim is answering her lifelong call to ministry. “My calling is clear,” she says. “It has always been to serve the Lord and be a living testimony of redemption. Becoming a Licensed Ministry Officiant through Christian Leaders Alliance is bringing me closer to that goal.”
