Learning and ordination Journey

Learning and Ordination Journey

Hello, my name is Matthew, and I am on a learning and ordination journey. I live in the USA in North Carolina. I am soon to be an ordained Deacon and Officiant Minister with the Christian Leaders Alliance. Then, I will be able to hold conservative Bible-based marriage ceremonies. This was made possible by God through the Christian Leaders Institute.

My Story Begins

I grew up in a Christian home that encouraged me to seek and find the Lord. At a young age, I experienced a divine call. At around the age of 13, the Lord called me to the ministry. God called me to be a “revivalist” (exact words), as I was worshipping listening to the hymn “All heaven declares.” There, in my home, God poured out his Holy Spirit on me and spoke to me in an almost audible voice. He said, “You know I’ve called you to be a revivalist, right?”

That was ten years ago; I am 23 when writing this on August 18, 2020. When I saw the Christian Leaders Institute logo, “training revival leaders,” I was surprised and intrigued!

I realize that an instant supernatural experience is not enough to support what we feel God is leading us to do. It takes faith, patience, and humble seeking to find what the will of God is. It also takes time, even years, for us to be prepared by God’s supreme sovereignty to do His glorious and mysterious will.

Learning and Ordination Journey: Called to Study

It has been both an exciting adventure and a journey of learning to trust and follow Christ Jesus. he has led me on this journey of learning and ordination. I am thankful to be able to study here at CLI, for free! And to receive ordination with CLA!

I wouldn’t say I like talking much about myself, no particular reason other than we are called to preach Christ and not ourselves. Also, I enjoy my privacy on the internet. However, I have a vision and longing in my heart of being able to be used to preach in America as Reinhard Bonkee did in Africa! I also am thankful for the ability to preach online as I often have on Roblox and discord and have been in online ministry for about three years.

A love of God’s Word and being able to preach in real life is my dream. I desire to proclaim the undefiled, uncompromised truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ! I ask that you pray for me as it is so easy to be led astray either by pride or selfish ambition. Oh, how I long to simply hear Christ Jesus say, “Well done, good and faithful servant, enter into the joy of your Lord!” All that matters is that I run in a manner worthy of my calling, not giving up to the end, no matter the cost, even if that means martyrdom. I never imagined a day would come like we are living in right now. Therefore, as I write this, I wonder what God is asking me to do in this season.

Learning and Ordination Journey: Called to Preach

With every fiber of my being, my heart desires to preach the word, in absolute purity and truth! Please, pray with me for continual wisdom and guidance!

With the world in a panic with COVID-19, it is hard to know where the Lord is leading. However, with my hand in His, the best thing we all can do, myself especially, is to trust in the Lord Jesus! With all our hearts, not trusting or leaning on our understanding, but in everything we do, let’s acknowledge and thank the Lord. Let’s trust that He will make our paths straight. On this narrow path of holiness, we need His shepherding guidance.

I know I preach more than share about me. However, I am not sorry. We need to make the most of every opportunity and redeem the time because our days are short! Oh Lord, teach us to number our days!
