My name is Kristie Hagmeier, and I live in Anchorage, Alaska. I am in my fifties and have spent nearly my entire life in this beautiful state. Alaska is truly God’s country. When I look at the snow-covered mountains and breathtaking landscapes around me, I am reminded daily of God’s power, creativity, and glory.
Throughout my life, my church attendance was often inconsistent. As a child, I occasionally attended services with my mother, and as an adult I frequently watched sermons on television. Over the years, however, my desire to know God more deeply continued to grow. I became a faithful listener of Christian Life Changing Radio and developed a passion for reading and studying God’s Word.
Finding a church home has not always been easy. With so many choices available, I sometimes struggled to know which ministries were biblically sound and trustworthy. Christian Leaders Institute has become a place where I can grow spiritually, receive encouragement, and gain greater discernment. The training, mentorship, and support offered through CLI have strengthened my confidence as I continue seeking God’s direction for my life and ministry.
The challenges of the 2020 pandemic made finding a church community even more difficult. Just as my desire for deeper fellowship was growing, many churches were forced to limit in-person gatherings. During that season, I discovered Christian Leaders Institute at exactly the right time. Looking back, I believe God used CLI to provide guidance, learning opportunities, and a place where I could continue growing in my faith.
One ministry dream that God has placed on my heart is creating a Pet Ministry to serve both animals and their owners. My vision includes pet blessings, pet burials, grief and loss counseling, animal advocacy, and even a pet food pantry. Through Christian Leaders Institute and Christian Leaders Alliance, I am finding the preparation and encouragement to pursue this calling. My prayer is to share Christ’s love through compassionate service to both people and the animals entrusted to their care. God bless all animals—and you too.
