A Journey of Faith and Service
Years of Serving God and His People
Long before Sheneva began preparing for wedding ministry, she had already spent years serving in Christian ministry. For nine years, she served as a licensed minister and participated in many areas of local church life, including youth ministry, ushering, praise and worship, and theatrical ministry.
After relocating, her ministry path changed and she began serving as an evangelist. She hoped to continue formalizing her ministry journey, but the COVID-19 lockdown interrupted those plans. Rather than giving up, Sheneva learned to trust that God’s timing could still unfold differently than she expected.
“I accepted that the timing wasn’t right.”
“However, God’s plan is always perfect. What He has for you will come in His time if you trust and believe.”
An Unexpected Opportunity
A Friend’s Wedding Opened a New Door to Ministry
Sheneva’s journey into wedding ministry began when a close friend asked her to stand beside them in an especially meaningful way. They wanted Sheneva not only to be part of their wedding day, but also to officiate the ceremony and provide God-centered premarital guidance.
The request initially caught her off guard, but Sheneva soon recognized that it connected naturally with the ministry calling that had already shaped so much of her life. Wedding officiating gave her another way to serve people and encourage couples as they prepared for marriage.
What began as one friend’s request became an opportunity for Sheneva to continue her larger mission of serving others through Christian ministry.
Removing Barriers to Ministry Preparation
The Power of Accessible Christian Training
As Sheneva pursued wedding officiant preparation through Christian Leaders, she especially appreciated that the training removed a financial obstacle that can prevent people from developing their ministry skills.
“The free training has removed any financial restraints.”
“Many people with the heart and desire to grow in their faith often lack the financial ability to take classes.”
For Sheneva, accessible ministry education did more than prepare her for wedding ceremonies. It renewed her enthusiasm for learning and showed her additional ways she could continue developing as a Christian leader.
Faith in Action
Serving Couples Through Christ-Centered Wedding Ministry
Sheneva sees wedding officiating as more than leading a ceremony. For her, each wedding can become an opportunity to encourage couples as they enter marriage and to point them toward biblical principles for building a Christ-centered relationship.
Her years of ministry experience have shaped the way she approaches this new role. She hopes to serve couples in New Jersey with the same spirit of care, faith, and service that has guided her throughout her ministry journey.
Continuing the Journey
Growing Her Ability to Guide and Encourage Others
Wedding officiant preparation has also encouraged Sheneva to continue expanding her ministry skills. Because people frequently turn to her when they need spiritual guidance, she has expressed interest in pursuing additional Christian life coaching education.
“I tend to be the point of contact when people need guidance.”
“Having additional education will enhance my ability to serve others.”
For Sheneva, ministry preparation is not about reaching a final destination. It is an ongoing process of learning how to serve people more faithfully and respond to the opportunities God places before her.
Trusting God’s Timing
Stepping Forward When God Opens a New Door
Sheneva’s story reflects faith, perseverance, and a willingness to remain available to God even when ministry plans do not unfold exactly as expected. What once seemed like an interruption became part of a larger journey that eventually brought her into wedding ministry.
“Trust God’s plan for your life. The tools and resources are there. If you feel called, step out in faith and serve.”
