Become a Funeral Officiant – Testimony
Becoming a Funeral Officiant is a significant step in my ministry journey, allowing me to serve grieving families with compassion, faith, and hope. This role will enable me to provide comfort and spiritual guidance during one of life’s most difficult moments. I see it as an opportunity to share the promise of eternal life through Christ while honoring and celebrating the lives of those who have passed.
I am pursuing this Officiant credential because I feel called to minister to those experiencing loss. Grief is a deeply personal and often overwhelming journey, and I want to be a source of encouragement and light during those times. By obtaining this credential, I will be better equipped to lead meaningful funeral services, offer pastoral care, and bring the reassurance of God’s presence to those in mourning.
My spiritual journey has been one of growth and a deepening sense of purpose. Over time, I have felt an increasing pull toward pastoral care, particularly in helping others navigate grief with faith. Through personal experiences of loss and witnessing the power of a well-led funeral service, I realized the importance of this ministry. God has placed a strong desire in my heart to be present for people in their time of need, reminding them of His love and the hope of resurrection.
This program has inspired me to consider further training at Christian Leaders. I am especially interested in courses related to pastoral counseling, grief ministry, and chaplaincy. I believe additional training in these areas will allow me to serve even more effectively, ensuring that my ministry extends beyond the funeral service and into ongoing pastoral care.
The training and Funeral Officiant course have been incredibly formative for me. It has given me the theological foundation, practical skills, and confidence to step into this role with clarity and purpose. The generosity of Christian Leaders in providing this education has strengthened my belief in accessible ministry training and inspired me to give back in any way I can—whether through service, prayer, or encouragement to others pursuing their calling.
I am grateful for this journey and excited to see how God will use me in this ministry. My goal is to bring comfort, hope, and the love of Christ to those who are grieving, and I am honored to take this step in faith.

Funeral Director Becomes Funeral Officiant – Bradley J Duffy
I began my Christian walk in the summer of 2012, sitting in the front pew of a small country church. After many years of living in sin and hearing gospel message after gospel message, I finally surrendered my life to the Lord Jesus Christ. I will share more about that later.
In 2003, I graduated from high school and immediately began college courses to pursue a career in Mortuary Science. For nearly 16 years as a licensed funeral director, I repeatedly heard the gospel before finally accepting Jesus in 2012.
I live at home with my wife, Rebekah, and our two daughters, Katie and Jamie Jo. When I’m not working, I am an avid beekeeper and teach beekeeping classes at a local college.
Through my profession, I recognized that many grieving families lacked a minister to officiate funeral services. This inspired me to pursue ministerial credentials so I could better support families during their time of loss. Christian Leaders Alliance (CLI) has been a blessing, providing an affordable and flexible way to pursue my calling. With two young children, the financial burden of traditional college is not feasible, and online courses are the only way I can achieve this goal.
Becoming a funeral Officiant – An Honor
What an honor it is to stand beside the grieving, offering hope and comfort through words and prayers that go far beyond me. The Lord has placed me in this role of officiating and conducting services—for the young and old, for friends and family.
What a blessing it is to be involved with this school of ministry at Christian Leaders. I am truly grateful for the tools, knowledge, and experience that have been passed down to me.
This funeral officiant program is exactly what I was looking for and I will be confident as I pursue my calling.
Thank you, and God bless you! 🙏✨
Leaders in Women’s Ministry – Serving My Community
I took the Funeral Officiant Course as part of my ministry training, and I look forward to applying the knowledge I’ve gained in the near future. I serve as a Women’s Minister and a Chaplain for a women’s group, and this course has provided the essential information I need to conduct memorial services for the women I minister to.
After completing the course, I feel confident in my ability to officiate a funeral service, memorial service, or celebration of life, offering comfort and support to those in need.
Well Thought Out Program – Becoming a Funeral Officiant
I have just completed the Funeral Officiant Skills at Christian Leaders Institute (CLI), and I found it to be an eye-opening and deeply impactful experience.
I loved how this study course integrates with Christian Leaders Alliance.
When I lost my father in 2018, I became increasingly disheartened during the information-gathering meetings with the local celebrant. The process felt impersonal and rushed, lacking the compassion such moments deserve. When I discovered this credential, I immediately signed up to explore the subject further.
This course has transformed my perspective, showing me that there is a better, more inclusive, compassionate, and empathetic way to serve as a Funeral Officiant. It provided an excellent blueprint on where to focus my efforts, ensuring that funeral services are conducted with care and dignity.
I pursued this credential to deepen my understanding of Christian funeral practices and to further my calling to ministry and service, particularly in times of grief and mourning. The well-structured and easy-to-follow format made it easy to absorb the material, and I am grateful for the insights I have gained.
I will definitely be pursuing further training in the future!
