Lady Minister

Lady Minister Calling Led to CLI and CLA

God Has a Time for Everything and Everyone

Hello! My name is Patti Wheeler, and I live in the USA. I was blessed to be raised in a Christian household. It was never forced on us. Attending Sunday Service was a natural thing to do even before my father was called to the ministry. I decided to commit my life to God at 11 years old and hit the ground running. There was not a lady minister in our church, but that didn’t stop me. I became a Junior Usher, taught Sunday School, and joined the national, district, and local choirs. Further, I represented our local Sunday School and Usher Boards at National Conventions and loved working in the church.

Called to Minister

I knew at a very young age that I wanted to be a minister. However, there was no lady minister in any of the churches in our body. For years, I continued to work in the church as a Youth Leader and Worship Leader. But the burning desire for bringing souls to Christ remained. God has a time for everything and everyone.

In 2015, I began assisting another church with the Music Department. There, I met other Lady Ministers who had accepted their Call but were never trained nor licensed at their previous churches. I finally accepted my Call to Minister. I left the church of my youth that I loved so much. Then, I became a part of another church that accepted Lady Ministers. I was consecrated in 2016, completed my year of studies, and received my license in September 2017.

New Direction with CLI and CLA

For a while, I was aware that God was preparing me for an independent Ministry. In December 2019, I took a step of faith to fully focus on the Ministry that God was developing in me. As part of that preparation, God brought me to the Life Coach Minister program at the Christian Leaders Institute (Learn more about online Bible courses, Click Here). The Life Coach Minister program, along with my Ministerial License, my Bachelor of Science in Psychology, and my Master of Education in Teaching and Learning, will help to build the foundation that I need to continue to do the Will of God for my life.

Now, I have completed the Licensed Minister and Deacon Minister Ordination programs at CLI and with the Christian Leaders Alliance. Layers were added to the armor that I must wear to combat misinformation, miseducation, and misrepresentation of Women in the Ministry. Women have always had a full plate of duties, including responsibilities at home, at work, at church, and in the community. When a woman takes on the task of Minister, she does not take it lightly. When women join the Ministry, it’s not because we try to prove that we can do what men can do. It’s because It’s What God Has Called Us To Do.

More Training at CLI and More Ministry

God is still developing his Work in me. God is moving me in online Ministry. Then, those who are uncomfortable attending a physical building or meeting in large groups may be reached. I feel the push to help heal those who have been “hurt by the church.” I plan to complete the Life Coach Minister Ordination and the Officiant Minister Ordination. CLI staff and students, please pray for me as I listen to God’s voice and follow His lead.

I thank God for directing me to CLI. This school allows me to study in my own home, at my own pace, and at a price I can afford. I’m able to work, study, and grow in how God will have me grow. I love the support and the encouragement that I feel from CLI. I also encourage any other Lady Minister to grow here as well.

Thank you, CLI Family, for being here for me!
