Growing Up in a Family of Faith

I grew up in a Catholic family in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Both of my parents served faithfully in the church and were fully committed to their ministry responsibilities.

My father served as a reader in the church and as a home cell leader. My mother was a catechism teacher. Their example gave me an early picture of what it meant to serve God and care for His people.

My Early Ministry Journey

When I was 19 years old, I was given the responsibility of establishing a Catholic youth cell in my area, where youth ministry was almost nonexistent.

I was a very active person and a talented football player, so I knew many people throughout the community. Those relationships made it easier for me to gather a team of more than 40 people for the church.

As I led the group, I began to discover that God wanted me to serve Him through healing, preaching, counseling, and comforting His people. When I visited group members, I prayed for them and for their brothers and sisters.

God revealed Himself through those experiences even though I did not yet have a deep knowledge of His Word. Leading the group brought me into a genuine encounter with God and helped me begin to understand who He is.

Accepting Christ as My Savior

A group of friends from several Pentecostal churches invited me to join their evangelical drama group. They believed I would be a good actor. Although I initially refused, their persistence eventually convinced me to join them.

We performed in schools, churches, parties, and weddings while sharing the message of the gospel. One day, a pastor at one of the churches where we performed gave an altar call.

I gladly came forward and accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord. I was still part of the Catholic Church at the time, but this was the first occasion when I clearly heard about personally accepting Christ as Savior.

Facing Challenges in South Africa

I wanted to pursue opportunities that were not available in my home country, where many young people faced war along with political and economic instability.

I left the Democratic Republic of Congo to seek asylum in South Africa and hoped to continue my football career. When I was unable to find a football team, I decided to take short courses to further my education. I also found a job to pay my bills.

The people at the company were generous toward me and trained me well. However, they had developed a fraudulent system for stealing money. Sadly, over time, I became involved in those activities.

For almost a year, this way of operating became part of my life. Then I began hearing a voice telling me to leave the job.

I struggled internally with what God was telling me. I felt guilty every time I participated in the dishonest practices, but I was afraid to stop because the money covered my needs. I feared that no one would help me survive in a foreign country.

Choosing Obedience and Sanctification

Just as God had previously sent friends to guide me toward Christ, He sent another person into my life who helped me pursue sanctification and godly living.

When I finally quit my job, I told the people around me what God had been saying. They could not understand my decision. They asked how I expected to survive in South Africa without employment.

I met the woman who would later become my wife and told her what God had spoken to me. She encouraged me to obey His voice.

She had grown up serving God on the worship team at her church. I was serving as a youth leader and intercessor at my church in South Africa. Together, we prayed about the decision and trusted God to provide.

After I left the job, God sent a man who gave us money to start our own business. God continued to guide us. Before we were married a year later, I received another job that paid far better than the previous one.

Serving Together in Ministry

My wife and I started an English choir at our church within the French community. We named the choir “One Voice.”

We also ministered to children and young people. Today, we serve through a deliverance and healing ministry.

My wife and sister-in-law lead a worship class that teaches girls between the ages of 12 and 18 to worship God in spirit and truth.

We have also helped many churches establish choirs, youth ministries, and children’s ministries. It is a privilege to see people discover and use their gifts in service to God.

Equipped for Christian Coaching Ministry

We are deeply thankful for Christian Leaders Institute, where we can receive biblical and ministry training that equips us to serve more effectively.

Christian coaching ministry is ultimately about helping others. It provides an opportunity to listen, encourage, guide, and support people as they face important decisions, challenges, and spiritual needs.

Recognition through the Christian Leaders Alliance is an honor. It adds credibility and accountability to the calling God has placed on my life and strengthens my ability to serve those He brings into my path.

I am grateful that God has used every part of my journey—from my early experiences in the church to the challenges I faced in South Africa—to prepare me for ministry. My desire is to continue serving faithfully and helping others experience the hope, healing, and direction found in Jesus Christ.
