Called to Cultivate Love: How to Become a Romance Officiant

“Let all that you do be done in love.” — 1 Corinthians 16:14 (WEB)

Are you drawn to help others navigate Christian relationships with purpose and faith? Do you feel called to guide couples and singles in their journey toward godly romance? The Romance Officiant Program through the Christian Leaders Institute (CLI) and Christian Leaders Alliance (CLA) equips you to do just that—bringing light, truth, and spiritual guidance to those seeking meaningful, God-honoring relationships.

Why Become a Romance Officiant?

Today’s culture offers countless messages about love, dating, and relationships—but not all of them reflect God’s design. Becoming a licensed Romance Officiant allows you to:

Support Christian dating and courtship with biblical wisdom.

Minister to singles, couples, and families through life’s most tender moments.

Provide a redemptive alternative to secular matchmaking by cultivating Christ-centered connections.

Expand your officiant skills if you’re already a Licensed Wedding Officiant.

Whether you’re a parent, pastor, coach, chaplain, or caring friend, this credential allows you to serve others with intentionality and grace.

Who Should Consider the Program?

This program is designed for a wide range of individuals, including:

Christian parents or grandparents guiding younger generations.

Wedding Officiants expanding their ministry.

Marriage or Youth Ministers offering deeper relational support.

Coaching Ministers working with singles and couples.

Informal matchmakers seeking a God-honoring foundation.

If you feel a heart for relationship ministry, this program is a meaningful next step.

What You’ll Learn

The Romance Officiant course covers crucial areas of relationship ministry:

Theology & Ministry Science: Understand God’s intent for romance and relationships.

Romance Officiant Testimony

Testimony: Called to Celebrate Love

Dr. Grace never planned on becoming a Wedding and Romance Officiant. But through prayer, quiet nudges, and a calling that unfolded over years, she found herself answering a powerful invitation—to walk alongside people during life’s sacred moments of love.

“I got married very young, at the age of 20,” she said. “I later divorced in my thirties and have spent the last 13 years navigating the Christian single space. It hasn’t been easy—but it’s taught me how to support others who are walking a similar road.”

Dr. Grace’s ministry had long focused on healing—emotionally, spiritually, and relationally. But she began to feel a deeper pull: not just to help others when things fall apart, but to walk with them as love is being built.

“I realized I wanted to be there at the beginning—not just after the heartbreak,” she said. “To help couples build on Christ, not just pick up the pieces.”

That realization led her to Christian Leaders Institute. When she discovered the Wedding and Romance Officiant program, it felt like divine alignment.

“The training blended celebration with truth, preparation with compassion,” she shared. “It was exactly what I needed—not just for ministry, but for my own journey.”

She found the lessons deeply meaningful, filled with biblical truth and practical wisdom. “This program didn’t just equip me—it inspired me. And the fact that it’s freely available? That’s grace in action.”

Now, Dr. Grace is continuing her education through CLI, exploring chaplaincy and ministry officiant tracks. But her calling as a Romance Officiant remains close to her heart.

“This isn’t just a title,” she said. “It’s a calling. It allows me to stand with others as they say yes to God’s plan for love—and I’m honored to be part of that journey.”
