Ralph Ordained Officiant Ministry

Feature Story: Ralph Zavala’s Ordained Officiant Ministry Journey

For Ralph Zavala, becoming a Licensed Ordained Ministry Officiant was a life-changing step of faith. Living in San Marcos, Texas, Ralph works full-time at a Walmart Distribution Center, but his heart burns for ministry.

“I gave my life to Christ in May of 2003,” Ralph said. “Later that year, my wife and I were asked to take over the youth ministry at our church. That’s where my journey into leadership began.”

With a deepening call to youth and officiant ministry, Ralph found Christian Leaders Institute and enrolled in the Ordained Minister Program through a ministry scholarship. He shared:

“This training is taking my faith to the next level. I’m growing in my walk with the Lord, and now I feel equipped to serve youth, parents, and others with confidence.”

As he progresses, Ralph senses God’s leading in children’s ministry as well:

“I feel better equipped to explain our mission and invite others into what God is doing. The courses and the Deacon Minister Ordination have prepared me to lead not just in church, but in life.”

Ralph’s prayer is simple but powerful: “Pray that as God leads me, He gives me wisdom and discernment to follow faithfully.”
