A Faith That Began Early
Falling in Love with Jesus in Newark
Growing up in Newark, New Jersey, Marvella developed a love for Jesus at a young age. Her faith became more than something she believed privately; it created in her a desire to share God’s love with the people around her.
One song in particular became connected with that calling: “It Only Takes a Spark.”
A Calling Stirred Within
Wanting to Pass God’s Love On
“That’s how it is with God’s love—once you’ve experienced it, you spread His love to everyone. You want to pass it on.”
“When I sang that song, something rose up within me. I knew God was calling me higher.”
A Life of Service
Serving Through Many Forms of Ministry
Marvella’s desire to serve eventually found expression through many different ministry roles.
A New Chapter in Texas
Discovering Christian Leaders Institute
After relocating to Texas, Marvella discovered Christian Leaders Institute while searching online for additional ministry training.
“CLI is one of God’s greatest blessings.”
Expanding Her Ministry
Preparing to Serve Couples Through Wedding Ministry
Marvella’s ministry journey eventually led her toward wedding officiant recognition through Christian Leaders Alliance. For her, the credential represents another opportunity to walk in the calling God has placed on her life.
“I am excited about becoming a licensed ordained Texas Wedding Officiant.”
“The training and credential from Christian Leaders Alliance affirm what God already spoke: ‘I will bless them.’”
