His Story
Growing Up in Chicago
George Alvarado grew up in Chicago, Illinois, in a hardworking Puerto Rican family. Christianity was not a central part of his home life, and he did not encounter the gospel until his teenage years.
“I wasn’t raised in a Christian home, but God reached me.”
Transformation
Finding New Life Through Christ
George’s early years included difficult seasons and choices, including encounters with the legal system. In 2004, however, he describes reaching a turning point through genuine repentance and a renewed relationship with God.
“God forgave me and gave me new life.”
That transformation became part of the foundation for the ministry calling that would continue developing in the years ahead.
A Calling Becomes Clear
Discovering His Ministry Calling While Serving in the Air Force
While stationed in England with the United States Air Force, George began to recognize his calling to ministry more clearly. His faith moved beyond personal transformation and into active service and evangelism.

More Than Six Years of Street Ministry
George spent more than six years preaching on the streets of Cambridge, England. Sharing the gospel publicly became a significant part of the way he lived out his growing ministry calling.
After returning to the United States, that calling continued. George remained active in sharing the gospel and leading Bible studies as he looked for new opportunities to serve.
A New Ministry Opportunity
Serving Couples Through Marriage and Wedding Ministry
George’s ministry now includes helping couples through marriage counseling and wedding ceremonies. Wedding officiant recognition through Christian Leaders gives him another practical way to combine biblical ministry with service to people in meaningful moments of their lives.
