Minister Ordainment at Christian Leaders Alliance: A Free, Study-Based Path to Impactful Ministry

Are you called to ministry but unsure how to get ordained without going into debt or leaving your current job or ministry? The Christian Leaders Alliance (CLA) offers a credible, biblically grounded Minister Ordainment program that equips you to serve as a Christian leader in your local community—and beyond.

What Is Minister Ordainment?

Minister ordainment is a public recognition of a person’s calling, character, and competence to serve in a ministry role. Unlike simple online certificates with no training or accountability, CLA’s ordainment is rooted in both study and spiritual confirmation. It is designed to affirm your ministry calling in a credible and meaningful way.

Three Ordainment Roles

At the Christian Leaders Alliance, minister ordainment is offered in three ministry paths:

  1. Officiant Roles – For those called to conduct weddings, funerals, baptisms, and other Christian ceremonies.

  2. Minister Roles – For those pursuing broader ministry service, such as preaching, pastoral care, or discipleship leadership.

  3. Chaplain Roles – For those serving in volunteer, part-time, or career chaplaincy settings like hospitals, first responder units, correctional facilities, or community groups.

A Study-Based, Free-Access Program

This ordainment pathway is completely study-based and powered by the free courses offered through Christian Leaders Institute (CLI). All classes are online, flexible, and accessible to anyone worldwide who has an internet connection. You will be guided through foundational ministry training in topics such as:

  • Biblical studies

  • Ministry leadership

  • Communication and preaching

  • Christian ethics

  • Ceremony officiating skills

You can complete the coursework at your own pace—whether you’re working full-time, raising a family, or already serving in ministry.

Ordained and Commissioned to Lead Locally

Once you complete your CLI training and CLA ordainment requirements, you are not only recognized as an ordained Christian leader—you’re also invited to start a local “Soul Center.” A Soul Center is a gathering point where you can:

  • Launch a house church or small group

  • Provide spiritual care and prayer

  • Offer officiant services like weddings and funerals

  • Multiply discipleship and training in your community

These centers bring local expression to your ordainment, enabling you to live out your calling with accountability and fruitfulness.

Join a Global Movement of Ordained Leaders

More than 7,000 ordained officiants, ministers, and chaplains are now part of the Christian Leaders Alliance—serving in over 100 countries. They come from all walks of life but are united in one mission: to multiply leaders and spread the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Minister Ordainment: Kyle Stowers’ Journey into Meaningful Christian Leadership

When Kyle Stowers first looked into ordination, it was a simple request from a friend that started the journey. His friend had asked him to officiate a wedding—andMinister ordainment like many who find themselves drawn into ministry service, Kyle agreed. But he didn’t want to settle for just checking a box.

“Funny enough, I didn’t want just a run-of-the-mill ordainment,” Kyle explained. “I wanted it to truly mean something, and I wanted it to be of the Christian faith—not just something that I plug my name into and it meets a requirement.”

That desire for authenticity and spiritual grounding led Kyle to the Minister Ordainment program offered by the Christian Leaders Alliance (CLA). This program is not a shortcut or a gimmick. It is a study-based path, made possible through the free-access ministry courses provided by the Christian Leaders Institute (CLI).

A Calling Ignited

As Kyle began to take the free ministry courses, something unexpected happened.

“As I began taking these courses, something stirred in me. I couldn’t stop taking the classes.”

Kyle began listening to lectures during his workday commutes, absorbing theology and ministry training from CLI instructors on YouTube and the online platform. What started as preparation to officiate a wedding became a deep dive into God’s calling on his life.

“I called it going down the ‘Rabbit Hole’—God’s Rabbit Hole, as it is,” he said. “I didn’t want to stop, and still don’t.”

More Than a Certificate

The Minister Ordainment program at CLA equips Christians not just to officiate weddings and other ceremonies but to step into ministry roles with biblical knowledge and spiritual maturity. There are three key ordainment tracks:

All of these roles can lead to establishing a Soul Center—a local hub of ministry and discipleship where ordained leaders like Kyle can build Christian communities.

Free, But Worth Supporting

One of the most remarkable parts of Kyle’s testimony is his appreciation for how accessible the training has been.

“I am incredibly thankful that this ministry exists to give training and purpose to anyone who pursues it without a fee,” Kyle shared.

But he also sees the importance of sustaining this vision for the next generation:

“Henry and Steve have said that they worry about this ministry in the coming generations. I believe that we need to make every effort to keep this ministry alive!”

Kyle has committed to supporting the mission financially so that others can discover their callings as he did—without debt, barriers, or watered-down credentials.
