A Heart for Ministry
More Than Three Decades of Walking Alongside Others
Wendy Waiwaiole has dedicated her life to serving others with compassion, wisdom, and a heart for ministry. For more than three decades, she has walked alongside individuals and couples as a counselor, coach, wedding coordinator, and spiritual director.
Her service has taken place in a variety of settings, including private practice, church communities, and parachurch organizations. Through each role, guiding and supporting people has remained central to her life’s mission.
A Calling Waiting for the Right Moment
Ordination Had Long Been on Wendy’s “To Do” List
Becoming an ordained Christian wedding officiant felt like a natural extension of Wendy’s ministry journey. Ordination had been something she wanted to pursue for some time, but other opportunities and responsibilities continued to take priority.
The desire remained, waiting for the moment when ministry and opportunity would come together.
A Personal Invitation
When a Dear Friend Asked Wendy to Officiate
The opportunity finally became personal when a dear friend invited Wendy to officiate their wedding. That meaningful request renewed her desire to formalize a calling that had already been developing through years of ministry and service.
Wendy decided it was time to pursue ordination through Christian Leaders Alliance and prepare intentionally for this new expression of ministry.
Sometimes a ministry calling develops over many years. For Wendy, a friend’s wedding invitation became the moment that moved a long-held desire for ordination into action.
Preparation With a Biblical Foundation
A Flexible Path That Fit Wendy’s Ministry Journey
Wendy found the accessible, self-paced structure and biblical foundation of Christian Leaders to be a strong fit. The donation-supported ministry training offered her a way to prepare for wedding officiant service while continuing to grow in her broader ministry calling.
More Than Practical Ceremony Skills
Wendy’s studies helped equip her for the practical responsibilities of officiating weddings while also deepening her understanding of marriage as a sacred covenant.
Wedding Ministry in Practice
Celebrating Each Couple’s Unique Love Story
Wendy considers it a profound honor to participate in one of life’s most meaningful milestones. She approaches wedding ceremonies with warmth, attentiveness, and a desire to honor the unique story of each couple.
Her goal is to help couples experience a wedding ceremony that is personal and joyful while also reflecting the beauty of God’s design for marriage.
Whether she is helping a couple prepare for their journey together or thoughtfully shaping the ceremony itself, Wendy seeks to make the experience meaningful, faith-filled, and memorable.
Continuing a Life of Service
Wedding Ministry as Another Way to Serve Others
Wendy’s wedding officiant story is not separate from the rest of her ministry journey. It grows naturally from decades spent counseling, coaching, encouraging, and walking alongside people during important seasons of their lives.
She looks forward to continuing that mission through the ministry of marriage, helping couples celebrate their commitment through thoughtful ceremonies that honor their relationship and glorify God.
