Recognizing a Call to Ministry

Finding Direction During an Unexpected Season

Diane Jones describes herself as a small-town girl who now lives in the suburbs of Richmond, Virginia. Her educational background is in finance and accounting, while her more recent professional focus has been in human resources.

Diane began studying with Christian Leaders in August 2020. The isolation brought by the Coronavirus pandemic became a time of personal reflection and soul searching.

Through that season, Diane began answering what she understood to be her call into Christian ministry.

Serving Couples Through the Church

Discovering Ministry Through Wedding Service

Diane calls herself a hopeless romantic and believes God created people to love and be loved. That perspective found a practical expression through her involvement in her church’s wedding services ministry.

Through that ministry, Diane had opportunities to assist couples as they developed their understanding of marriage and to take part in their wedding celebrations.

A Vision for Wedding Ministry

Recognizing the Next Assignment in Her Calling

Diane’s exposure to wedding ministry helped her see a clearer direction for how she could continue serving God and couples. What began as participation in her church’s wedding services ministry became part of a larger vision for ministry.

She did not want to approach that responsibility casually. Diane believed that if wedding officiant ministry was going to be her next assignment, she needed further preparation.

“I don’t take my service for Him lightly. Therefore, pursuing more official training as a Wedding Officiant had to be my next assignment.”

Finding the Right Training Path

Biblical Preparation That Fit Diane’s Life

Diane chose Christian Leaders Institute because of its positive reputation, free or low-cost educational opportunities, and self-paced learning structure.

Learning That Built Knowledge and Confidence

Diane says the coursework gave her greater knowledge and confidence to guide others in the biblical principles of marriage.

Growing in Wedding Ministry

Serving Couples With Greater Biblical Understanding

Diane’s training strengthened the foundation she had already begun developing through her church’s wedding ministry. Instead of relying only on personal experience or enthusiasm, she gained additional preparation for guiding couples through the biblical meaning and principles of marriage.

For Diane, greater knowledge also brought greater confidence as she continued moving toward wedding officiant ministry.

A Ministry Milestone

Receiving Recognition Through Christian Leaders Alliance

Diane’s journey eventually led her to become a Licensed Christian Wedding Officiant through Christian Leaders Alliance. For her, that recognition represented another step in answering the ministry calling she had been discerning and preparing for.

“Becoming a Licensed Christian Wedding Officiant at the Christian Leaders Alliance is a great blessing!”

Answering the Call to Serve

From Soul Searching to Wedding Ministry

Diane Jones’s wedding officiant story grew out of a season of reflection, a call into Christian ministry, and meaningful experience serving couples through her church.

By pursuing further biblical preparation, Diane gained greater knowledge and confidence for helping couples understand marriage and continued moving forward in the ministry assignment she believes God placed before her.
