Kirk Rawlins: Preparing to Officiate His Daughter’s Wedding
Kirk Rawlins had already served his church community in many different ways when his daughter and future son-in-law asked him to officiate their wedding. The request opened a new opportunity for ministry—and a desire to prepare through a distinctly Christian pathway.

Before wedding ministry entered the picture, Kirk had already served in a variety of roles within his church congregation. Those opportunities allowed him to minister to his Christian brothers and sisters in different ways.
One ministry responsibility he had never taken on, however, was officiating a wedding.
A Meaningful Family Request
When His Daughter Asked Him to Officiate
Kirk’s opportunity to enter wedding ministry came when his daughter and her fiancé asked him to officiate their wedding.
