Emely Chika: Discovering a New Season of Christian Ministry
Raised in a ministry family and serving through music from a young age, Emely Chika began asking God how she could continue serving in a new season of life. Her search eventually led her to Christian Leaders, pastoral calling, and wedding ministry.

A Foundation of Faith
Growing Up With a Pastor as Her Father
Emely grew up in a Christian family in the Philippines. Her father, Moses, served as a pastor and remained deeply passionate about teaching people about Jesus Christ and His Kingdom.
As a child, Emely witnessed both the blessings and the struggles of ministry life. She saw people respond to the gospel and experienced the joy of ministry, but she also saw the financial challenges pastors and ministers could face.
Her parents sometimes moved to different places in order to help support churches and continue the work they believed God had called them to do.
Faith and Family
Building a Family While Continuing to Serve
Emely built a family of her own with her husband, Aloysius Chika. Together they are raising four children while continuing to look for ways to serve God and contribute to the work of the church.
The ministry example she saw in her parents continued to influence the way Emely understood calling, sacrifice, and Christian service.
Serving Through Worship
Leading People in Worship Since Her Teenage Years
Music became one of Emely’s primary forms of ministry. She began serving as a song leader when she was 13 years old and experienced the joy of using her voice to help lead people in worship.
Over the years, she became deeply grateful for the opportunity to touch people through music and help point their hearts toward worship in spirit and in truth.
Seeking God’s Leading
Looking for Another Way to Serve
As Emely faced serious health challenges and changes in her voice, she began wondering what ministry might look like if she could no longer serve in exactly the same way through music.
Living with kidney failure and undergoing regular dialysis caused her to think deeply about her future, her calling, and whether God might have another ministry role for her.

A New Ministry Direction
Feeling Called to Become a Pastor
Through prayer and reflection, Emely became convinced that her opportunities for ministry were not finished. She began sensing a call toward becoming a pastor and serving the church in new ways.
She shared that desire with her husband, telling him that she wanted to become a pastor or minister wherever she could be most effective. Aloysius suggested that she look into online classes.
That suggestion became an important next step in Emely’s ministry journey.
Discovering New Ministry Training
Wedding Ministry Became Her First Step
Emely discovered Christian Leaders while searching online for ministry education. As she explored the available courses, the wedding officiant pathway immediately caught her attention.
Although she was interested in broader ministry preparation, Emely felt strongly that wedding officiant training should be one of her first steps.
Wedding ministry became one practical way Emely could begin moving forward while continuing to prepare for a broader calling in Christian leadership.
Looking Ahead
Continuing Her Education and Dreaming of a Church
Emely did not see wedding officiant preparation as the end of her education. She expressed excitement about completing many more courses and continuing to grow spiritually and practically for ministry.
She and Aloysius also looked forward to the possibility of building a church together by God’s grace and using continued ministry training to serve more effectively.
A Ministry Legacy
Following the Example Her Father Gave Her
When Emely told her mother that she intended to pursue pastoral ministry, her mother responded with joy and told her that her father would be proud.
“My father is named Moses, and I know I will be his ‘Joshua.’”
A New Chapter of Ministry
Discovering That It Is Never Too Late to Serve
Emely Chika’s Christian ministry story began long before she discovered Christian Leaders. It was shaped by her parents’ ministry, years of leading worship, marriage and family, personal challenges, and a continuing desire to follow God’s direction.
Wedding ministry became one new way to serve, while her larger vision continued toward pastoral ministry, further training, church leadership, and helping others grow in faith.
