Allan Maingi
To raise up revival leaders!
Dr. Allan Maingi, is a Kenyan, residing in Nairobi and an alumnus of Christian Leaders College (CLC). I enrolled in CLI in 2017 and graduated in 2019 with a Bachelor of Divinity.
Early Life and Conversion
I grew up in a Christian family and I used to go to church every Sunday and participating in church activities knowing that through such works I am a good Christian who qualifies to inherit the Kingdom of God. When I joined High School I used to testify that I was born again but I had never come to confess my sins and submit totally unto the Lordship of Christ Jesus.en leadership roles, which was a test of what I was confessing. I rededicated my life to Christ back in 2009, when I was still in my teens, tired of the Lukewarm life I was living. Since then I have never looked back. Tests come, but my eyes are always fixed unto Christ, for through Him I can overcome. He is my enabler.
Calling to Ministry
This came after I had left High School when I saw that other young people in my local church were not involved in Ministerial work and that they had become so worldly, letting the fleshly desires and the cares of this world lead them. I was presented with the opportunity of being a Sunday school teacher and since then I have never regretted the decision I had made of serving Christ in the children ministry. This later opened doors to other leadership roles in the local church.
Ministry Training
In 2014 (before I joined CLI) I was awarded a scholarship to pursue an Associates Degree in Christian Ministry from World Harvest Bible College. This is a Leadership program that runs in the Correctional Institutions (Prisons, Kamiti and Lang'ata) for both born again inmates and the staff - Warders to equip them to be effective Leaders in the Body of Christ. Since I had been a member of the staff church in one of the Prisons I was awarded the above scholarship through the Director of Christian Center Network, the Christian non-profit making organisation that facilitates the above program. This is how I started ministry training. By the Grace of God, i was awarded a scholarship by CLI, through the Pool of Bethesda Scholarship Program enabling me to graduate with a Bachelor of Divinity Degree in 2019. This free ministry training has made me to be effective and ideal in my walk with Jesus Christ. My prayer is that CLI receives more partners supporting this initiative for the Glory of God.
Ministry Journey
I am actively involved (as a volunteer and contact person) with the Bible League International Kenya and Alpha Trust Kenya in School and Prison Ministry and reaching out to local assemblies providing them with Bible study materials so that believers in Christ can be well grounded the Word of Truth. As a teacher, my heart goes out to young people to come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, believe in Him and accept Him as Lord and Savior over their lives. This has made me to pursue Chaplaincy Training through CLI. I have also been involved in active ministry especially evangelism through the door to door and crusades. I strongly believe that active/true Christians must be well equipped through effective training in ministerial work.
Ordination
Recently ordained as Minister of the Word through Christian Leaders Alliance (CLA). This ordination training has equipped me to be a workman who isn't ashamed to share God's Word to learners, teachers and parents. Ministering to those who have been incarcerated is an open opportunity. My prayer is that God raises up more revival leaders especially Chaplains in schools, hospitals,prisons and in the military in Kenya and the world at large.
Personal Life
Currently I serve at PEFA - Kahawa West, Cathedral of Grace and as the School Chaplain - Roysambu School (Primary and Junior).
